Hi everyone I recently bought a used Passat b8 from Volkswagen and recently 3-4 weeks ago it developed a rattle coming from the centre of the dash (as i could hear) at first it was only when the blower was on but now i can hear it all the time. I tried to find air distribution diagram but I couldn't did anyone else had this type of rattle ?

How annoying, my wife had a similar problem with a brand new Hyundai I10 a few years ago.
It never did it when we took it back, but started half way home.
She lived with it for five years and traded it in, intermittent rattles are nightmares.

Hi everyone yesterday i took out and put back the glovebox and gave a slap to this panel and it seems like the noise is gone ! I do not know which one fixed it but i will let you know if it comes back .

Update: The noise came back it turns out the noise is coming from loose heater matrix pipes both from the firewall hole and inside the cabin (behind the panel that showed) i will try to cable tie them and see if it works.
