Could some of you share some wisdom on this one, i brought i code reader to aid with sifting through some of the error codes and repairing, before you say i know i should get this VCDS but its the best i have to deal with at the moment and its bettter than nothing.
So i had Glow plug errors on all 4 cylinders P0671 > 4, i had it checked out a while ago and the mechanic said it was the harness as the glow plugs were fine. so i removed them and tested them and 3 were faulty.(****** lies!) i have since replaced with new and new valve cover gasket. jobs a gooden.
After taking for a spin to be sure the code didn't return. all is good but what did pop up was a new code for Camshaft Position sensor P3007? Could it have really gone like that? is it possible i have knocked it or somehow caused the fault? i have looked about a bit and found people with the same code having problems starting, but i have no issues starts and runs fine. i did have 2 egr exhaust bank temp error codes but forgot to write them down before erasing them and since the glow plug change didn't return could it be related?
Any advice on what is a likely to blame or a good starting place?
