Difficult question to 'title', but the general theme is:

If I wanted to (say) remove the radio and fit a USB/Aux fitting in place of the single 'Aux-in' socket, which of the other VAG models is most like the Eos in terms of it's construction, interior fittings etc so that I can look for advice/instructions online for how to get under the car's skin?

I get the feeling that there's not a huge amount of information about the Eos specifically, but I'm guessing that something like a same-year Golf or Passat or Polo may have the same interior (as an example).

I'm relatively good with tools, but simply not very familiar with cars.

The architecture or "platform" is known as PQ35 so shares its running gear and electronics with the contemporary Golf 5/6, A3 type 8P, Octavia 2, Leon 2 etc and is very closely related to the Scirocco, even being built in the same Portuguese factory. The body and trim however are unique to the Eos in most areas.
