This is my first post on this Forum and I am hoping that some kind soul will be able to help me with the problems I am having with my "new" GTD?!
It is a 2014 Golf GTD with DSG transmission. It is a one owner (before me) car and has about 150K on the odometer and I have only had the car a few weeks.
When driving it the car felt a bit sluggish but I put it down to it needing a full service and DSG filter and oil change.
Now that my local mechanic has done all this, the car does feel more lively but I am still finding that when I first start the car in the morning, the car does not start crisply but tends to stutter for several seconds before firing up. After that, it will start crisply every time-really odd?!
However, the main issue that I am having is that whenever I accelerate hard, the engine management light (coil shape) comes on and the car goes sluggish. Once the ignition is turned off and the car restarted, the warning light is gone and the car will drive normally until I accelerate hard again and then the same thing happens!!
Does anyone have any explanation for this and/or suggestions as to what could be done to solve the problems.
