i have done a code read it came up with bank one too rich but nothing else

 

So the engine chucking in too much fuel doesn’t seem to be the problem to you then? First of all no codes and now a too rich code. What was the fault code number and what is your engine type code?

 

when i did the code read there where no codes but did another code read a couple of days later and the engine code is APK707204 and the code number is 16556 P0172

 

16556 (P0172) Bank 1 fuel metering system too rich

Common causes of this are a faulty Air Mass Meter and a faulty pre cat lambda sensor.

 

right ok then i will put it on live data and see what the readings are
