Hi all. I have a Touran 2007 1.9TDi. Unfortunately it has developed a strange snag! The tailgate will not open via the handle microswitch. I've managed to open it manually from inside. However it is really intermittent when operating the lock (m/switch) with the boot open. It will operate with the lock at the initial latch but intermittently at full latch and won't operate at all when the tailgate is fully closed home.
I've changed the m/switch and the lock and did continuity check from the tailgate break to the m/switch and lock connectors.

The snag still exists.

Check the wiring in the conduit between roof and tailgate on the cars left for breaks. Usually all the wires are white and if you get two that are snapped it gets confusing.....

First posts normally go in introductions else you could get a free fix and we never see you again!!!

Its not easy finding the error codes from 4 pictures its easier to post the error codes show from the saved log files.

Crasher, just searching on here and found an old post from yourself about disconnecting the battery and discharging the capacitors. I gave this a crack and it seemed to work!! Until i locked then unlocked the car and the snag returned. I'm quite positive that the tailgate is good. Have you any advice of where to look next?

Have you checked the drivers door wiring inside the conduit, they seem to be more prone to damage on the Touran.
