hello i am really stuck and could do with some help . i have a 14 plate vw amarok 6 speed manual
when accelerating in any gear up to 2000rpm i have a major vibration/ shaking through the cab - took it into the garage full system scan on the engine no faults and also been on live data which also came back fine.
we put a brand new propshaft on it and still no different at all.
soon as you pass 2000rpm the vibration/ shaking has totally gone in any gear
go back into that rev range and put your foot down the vibration / shaking is back
pleses some help i don't no what else it could be as the garage are now saying flywheel my be gone but i cant just keep throwing money onto it and it this does not fix the problem any help would be great.

It sounds drivetrain rather than engine but I haven’t experienced this and without driving it, difficult to say. I will have a look in the known faults list on Tuesday, what is the VIN?

Thanks , Iv had a full diagnosis of the engine (no faults) and on live data everything is working fine .
starts lovely ideals perfect , drives fine when you gradually accelerate, but if you accelerate hard in 3/4/5/6 from low rev range up to 2000rpm you feel like a vibration/ shaking soon as you pass the 2000rpm totally gone in all gears ,
Don’t no what els to check / change to try and fix this issue. Really stuck at the moment.
I will have the vin sent over soon for you thanks

My initial suspicion would be a failing propshaft.

Where did the shaft come from?

I am having the exact same problem. Acceleration between 1500rpm and 2100rpm and the car shakes terribly. After that in any gear, the vibration goes away.
My Amarok has 380000km on the clock and did my first Clutch and DMF replacement about 30000km ago.
Just replaced the centre bearing and did the propshaft as this is what the garage advised caused the vibration. Vibration is still there.
15000km ago I had all my injectors tested and reconditioned as one was bad.
The only thing I have not yet done is replacing engine and gearbox mountings.
Had my car at 3 different dealers and they are all saying DMF. They are suggesting to replace it with a SMF instead.

Please let me know if you managed to resolve your problem?
