Now alot for forums have a VAG-COM/VCDS User Locations so I thought we may as well start one in here.

There is World Vag-Com Locator Map is a bit vague and never updated that much.

VAG-COM Diagnostic Service Locator

I have a genuine VCDS USB-HEX-CAN running current version

Location: Stoke on Trent
Experience: I don't use it that much as my Golf is only a couple of years old. My VCDS Tweaks

If anyone has a genuine VAG-COM/VCDS please add what cable you have and your location just in case some users are stuck.

Sorry I couldn't help you more with getting your Q7 running.

Without going into all the details of why you need the pump running.

He wanted the fuel pump running to bleed the system. I did an Autoscan first just to check there is nothing else causing it not to run. There were 15 systems with faults the only one for the engine was:

VAG Error Code: 17471
EOBD II Error Code: P1063

Fault Location:
Fuel Pressure - Control Limit not Reached

Possible Cause:
Air in fuel system.
Fuel system leak.
Fuel lift pump.
Fuel bypass valve.
Fuel pressure control valve.
High pressure fuel pump.

I went into Engine can clicked OutPut Test - 03. Now there was no combobox to select Fuel Pump Relay so I had to cycle through the other components first. It showed the Fuel Pump Relay being switched On/Off but we couldn't hear the pump running. I checked the wiring diagram to find any fuses or relay. The relay is in the engine fuse/relay box after removing the screws we found it.

We removed the main fuel feed pipe to the filter and put it in a container. I went back to VCDS but it had cycled through to the next test. I came back out and tried it again and it came up with an error with something like system not enabled. I shut down VCDS and tried it again but it showed the same message. I switched the ignition off an tried it again and it operated the relay you could feel it clicking. So his problem is either its a coincidence that the fuel pump has stopped or he has a wiring fault or its something to do with P1063 error. I said he needs to check if the pump has a good power supply and earth.

So you can't run the fuel pump on a 2005 Q7 3.0 TDI without VAG-COM\VCDS unless you want to provide the pump with another power supply. I've Googled this error code and one user said he cured his by replacing the fuel filter but that would fix why the fuel pump doesn't run.

Oh there is a new update out VCDS 11.11.4

Remove the main feed to fuel filter place in container. Remove fuel pump relay fuse & get a wire from the positive of battery or engine bay post to the fuse post if pump is working u will see it drain the fuel. Some pumps are really quiet especially when the tank is full.

I'm in the Romsey area and have a USB VCDS HEX-CAN beta 12.10 and 11.11.
I don't think you've add the points? You can download the current versions 11.11.5.1 as well as Beta 12.10.5. You can set VCDS to notify you when newer versions are available.

How have you coded a replacement key without the SKC?

I thouight you must have used something else. Its a pity VCDS won't find the SKC if it did you could double the price and it would still be worth it.
